UPDATE: Father in MOVE Case Killed Authorities said Friday afternoon that they have no suspects yet in the shooting death of the man involved in a custody dispute with Philadelphia's radical group MOVE.

Prosecutor Robert Bernardi said investigators intend to talk with the former wife of 34-year-old John Gilbride. But they don't know where MOVE member Alberta Africa and the couple's six-year-old son are.

Gilbride was found dead Friday in a car in the Ryan's Run development in Maple Shade with multiple gun shot wounds.

Gilbride had been fighting for custody of his son John Zachary Gilbride with the boy's mother, Alberta Africa, who is a member of the back-to-nature group.

Police said a resident of the 300 building in the development reported a motor vehicle left running with the headlights on in front of the building.

Officials said that when officers arrived at that location, they found the victim in the driver's seat of a vehicle and he had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Gilbride had won a legal ruling that gave him unsupervised time with his 6-year-old son. MOVE was battling the decision.

The group has fortified their headquarters in West Philadelphia in recent weeks with boarded up windows. They had also demonstrated in Cherry Hill, N.J., where the parents and child involved in the dispute were living.
