Police Search for Rapist
Trenton police are searching for a serial rapist. There have been three rapes since late last month and in each attack the victims were taken to nearby Cadwalader Park.
Police say the man is able to talk women into his car. They said he made them comfortable enough that in four out of the five instances they got into his car.
According to authorities, between April 2002 and May 2003, the man raped three women and sexually assaulted two others. He allegedly picked them up on the main thoroughfares and took them to a secluded area of the park.
Investigators say the attacker preys on women at bus stops in the west Trenton area.
"We want to emphasize we are going to get this man. We'll take him off the street and bring him to justice," said Joseph Santiago, the Trenton Police director.
Authorities say that the suspect is about 6 feet tall and weights around 300 pounds.
Nakia Moore said that the suspect targeted her.
"He was sitting across there by the phone booth talking to somebody else. He's real persistent. (He said)'Come here.' (I said) 'No,' and kept walking," Moore said.
Police are asking that anybody with information about this case to call them at (609) 989-4170.
