Serial Rapist in Trenton

Police in Trenton are searching for a serial rapist. There have been three rapes there since last month. In each, they are taken to an area in Trenton.

The latest attack occurred just yesterday. Wednesday night, detectives say that they believe the so-called "bus stop rapist" may be linked to assaults dating back more than a year.

"We are going to get this man. Take him up the street and bring him to justice."

His target is Trenton bus stops. His victims are women he can lure into his car by promising them a ride. Once in the car, there is some conversation. Then, he drives them to a place where he forces them to have sex.

Police say five women have been picked up and driven near the park there and sexually assaulted. A victim just this week was threatened with a knife.

Mr. Moore recognized the man in the sketch. He said, "He tried to talk to me a couple times. You know I mean, come here. I'm like no. I kept walking."

Jasmine wonders why anyone would get into a car with a stranger. "They must be saying something or offering them something for them to get into the car with him," she said.

Investigators say there would be no more victims of the bus stop rapist if just a little common sense were used.

"Well, like, I don't walk by myself," she continued.
