Second Alleged Victim Comes Forward A second woman has stepped forward claiming she was assaulted by a South Jersey doctor.

"When he put the stethoscope on me, it became like the slip under the bra and I'm like, 'No, that's inappropriate,'" the woman said.

Dr. Michael LaFon, 42, a general practitioner at Wenonah Medical Associates, is already facing charges that he fondled a 36-year-old patient during two separate office visits in Wenonah. He is charged with lewdness and criminal sexual contact.

Police said the doctor allegedly placed his mouth on the breast of the female patient. The matter was reported to the Gloucester County prosecutor's office that initiated an investigation.

LaFon is out of jail after posting $15,000 bail under the condition that he does not see any female patients.

The second alleged victim has asked to conceal her name.

"I think he was just being an authority figure and wondering what he could get away with," the woman theorized.

The second alleged victim said she saw a report on the arrest Wednesday on NBC 10 News and immediately contacted detectives.

"I had mentioned to (the investigator) that this is probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the area," the woman said.

She said she went to see the doctor about 10 years ago for a bronchial infection and LaFon started acting inappropriately during the appointment.

"Immediately, first thing, was like, take your shirt off, and I'm like, 'Excuse me?' At one point he did cup my left breast. He did ask me when my last gynecological exam was and 'Did I want one?' He's a general practitioner. Why would I need him to give me a gynecological exam?" the woman remembered.

NBC 10 News was told LaFon was not at work Thursday, and the doctor did not return phone calls.
