South Jersey Singles
South Jersey Singles can beat the mid-winter blues this week with an events schedule including a social hike, a fundraiser and a singles seminar for plenty of chances to meet that special someone.
It all begins on Friday, January 29, when group leader Paul Serdiuk invites singles to join him for a Moonlight Hike, Campfire and Cookout. This seven-mile hike at a moderate pace spans the Pines under the Wolf Moon on a new route, with a return to a roaring campfire. Singles should bring picnic-type food for sharing at the hike’s end. Children and pets may not attend this hike. The group will meet at 7pm at Atsion Lake in Burlington County. Take Route 206 take Atsion Road west for one mile, then go to the Goshen Pond Group Site sign, turn left to go to the camping area. Camping is available; participant must call in advance to reserve space. Inclement weather cancels this hike. Call Serdiuk in the evening at 609-463-3593 to RSVP or to confirm the hike.
The next day (Saturday, January 30), singles may join New Outlook Singles at their mingle for a good cause, the Dominic’s House 8th Birthday Bowling and Brewsters Pub Party. It’s all happening at Laurel Lanes at 2825 Route 73 in Maple Shade. This fundraiser benefits an eight-year old Mt. Laurel boy with cerebral palsy. Proceeds will help provide Dominic with a house equipped to meet his special needs. This event runs from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. The $20 cover charge includes bowling, shoes, pizza, soda and raffle prizes. Those who would like to help, but who are not bowlers may instead join the Pub Party. The Pub Party $15 cover charge includes a buffet dinner, cake, live music and raffle prizes.
