Pound Cake with Cherry Chocolate Icing
April Lunemann - Gloucester

1 lb. butter (4 sticks)
4 cups sugar
6 eggs
2 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup melted chocolate
1 cup cherries, finely chopped (drain excess juice; can be added to cake mixture if desired)

Mix cake ingredients together. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (or until done). Mix icing ingredients together. Top the cake.
