CRISPY CRAB MEAT APPETIZER BALLS

1/4 cup onion flakes
1/4 cup water
2 (6 oz.) cans crab meat, drained
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 1/2 tsp. powdered mustard
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Oil for frying

Mix onion flakes and water. Let stand about 10 to 15 minutes. In a bowl, mix crab meat, bread crumbs, parsley, mustard, pepper and eggs. Add onion flakes and water. Mix all ingredients well. Form 1Ó balls and fry in hot oil until browned, about one minute. Place in a shallow baking pan and cover with foil. When ready to serve, place in 250 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes to warm. Can also be frozen. Place frozen crab meat balls in 350 degree oven on baking sheet and bake 10 to 15 minutes.
