New Jersey Seals in Focus Program Continuing its ongoing commitment to conservation initiatives, cast members from Adventure Aquarium and its Fins for the Future conservation program are once again offering the public an intensive look at New Jersey seals through its annual "New Jersey Seals in Focus" program. Now in its fourth year, New Jersey Seals in Focus provides the public the rare opportunity to get an up-close look at New Jersey seals to learn more about these amazing creatures and what it takes to reintroduce rescued seals into their natural habitat.

The day-long excursion begins with one of Adventure Aquarium's marine mammal experts, who will take guests behind-the-scenes of the Aquarium's Seal Shores Exhibit to provide a realistic glimpse into the lives of these amazing creatures. Learn how to tell Adventure Aquarium's seals apart, find out what they eat, see how they are trained and discover details about the seals' individual personalities. Guests will also be invited to the exhibit's underwater viewing area to take photos with one of their new seal friends! After free time to explore all that Adventure Aquarium has to offer - including penguins, sharks, hippos and more - participants will reconvene at he Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, NJ, where guests will meet with a Stranding Center expert, along with Adventure Aquarium's Curator of Birds and Mammals, to learn more about what it takes to reintroduce these rescued animals into their natural habitat. Tour the Marine Mammal Stranding Center facility, learn more about the equipment used, and watch a presentation of the Stranding Center team in action. The excursion concludes with a visit to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center Museum and gift shop.

Adventure Aquarium's New Jersey Seals in Focus program is currently available on March 14th and April 4th, 2009 The ticket price is $40, which includes admission to Adventure Aquarium and a donation to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. Each program can accommodate up 20 guests, ages 6 and up. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and transportation to and from the Aquarium and Marine Mammal Stranding Center is the sole responsibility of the guest.
