Six-Hit Shutout For Thunder

(Bowie, MD)- The Trenton Thunder collected their second straight shutout over Bowie as three pitchers allowed six hits in a 6-0 win Wednesday night.
Trenton (16-22) has not allowed a run to Bowie in the last 18 innings. Starter Justin Duchscherer (4-2) went the first six innings to get the win. He allowed three hits, walked three and struck out seven. Duchscherer hasn`t allowed a run in his last 15 innings.
On offense, the Thunder got single runs in the first two innings, but broke the game open in the 6th inning.
Trenton loaded the bases with one out. Aaron Capista lined a single to center that scored a pair for a 4-0 lead. Kelly Ramos followed with a two-run double to make it 6-0.
Bowie (18-21) threatened to get on the board in both the 5th and 8th innings. In both cases, Bowie had the bases loaded with one out. Both times, they failed to score.
