20 Under 40

Every year, South Jersey Biz looks around the local business landscape to identify the young professionals who are blazing a path and elevating our future thanks to their hard work and determination to stand out from the crowd. Our 20 under 40 list is a celebration of those folks who have accomplished many great things at a young age, but also continue to strive for success while paving the way for the next generation of business leaders who will follow in their footsteps. And because we had so many great people to choose from and it was so difficult to narrow down the list, we actually wound up with 21 this year. What can we say, South Jersey is full of brilliant young business minds.

Stephen Carrozza | Vice President | Metro Commercial | Age: 30

Over the past eight years with Metro Commerical, Carrozza has increased territory for his retailers, taken the lead on multiple rollouts and has assisted national brands in select geographies as a National Tenant Representative. Most notably, he assisted with Carvana’s infrastructure program, completing 10 deals in 2021. Carrozza also serves as an Urban Air National Tenant Rep and over the course of his career has closed 36 deals for the company. In fact, he helped bring Urban Air to Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio, which was named one of Chain Store Age’s Top 10 Retail Experiences in 2021. A St. Joseph’s University grad, Carrozza has been the recipient of numerous honors, including being recognized previously with the CoStar Power Broker award, which recognizes the top brokers and firms in commercial real estate.

Stephanie Rizzi | Assistant Vice President, Business Development Officer | 1st Colonial Bank | Age: 36

During her vast career in the banking industry, Rizzi has held various positions of note with the likes of Commerce Bank, TD Bank and Republic Bank, including working in the retail banking side of the business in such roles as branch management and business development in deposit growth and lending. She has also previously served as a regional account executive with Elavon where she had the opportunity to support merchant services for businesses in her region. In her current role as assistant vice president at 1st Colonial Bank, Rizzi focuses her efforts on growing the bank’s deposits, commercial products and SBA lending.

Chrissy Magnotta | Director of Client Engagement | Katz/Pierz | Age: 37

Magnotta joined Katz/Pierz in 2017, bringing more than 10 years of experience with payroll and human resource information systems to the job. This included working directly with HR officials to help improve processes, drive culture change and oversee implementation. What’s more, she is a certified corporate wellness specialist who currently serves as secretary and program chair for the Human Resource Association of Southern New Jersey, the local chapter and affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. She currently helps to oversee project implementation for various cost containment programs, payroll and benefit administration evaluations as well as helping to keep clients compliant. Magnotta’s many contributions to the industry helped her earn a nomination as the 2020 Delaware Valley HR Consultant of the Year.

Quinton Law | Project Manager | Camden County Partnership | Age: 25

This former Division I football player entered into the political world following graduation when he was hired onto Sen. Cory Booker’s presidential campaign as a community organizer. In 2020, he began working as a constituent advocate for Booker, specifically working with veterans, those having issues with the IRS and the Bureau of Prisons. In his current position with Camden County Partnership, he works to further the nonprofit’s mission to implement a holistic approach to economic development in Camden. When he was 23, he made history by becoming the youngest and first Black councilman ever elected in Moorestown. In addition to serving on the council, Law is a member of Save the Environment Moorestown and is also chair of scholarships for the Moorestown Alumni Association.

Richard Brown & Nicholas Palese | Partners | Junk Police and 1-8444-DEMO-IT | Ages: 22 & 23

These longtime friends graduated from West Deptford High School in 2017, and like a lot of kids their age they thought college was their best chance at finding success. But after a few weeks attending community college, they both dropped out and decided to start their own business almost immediately thereafter. Having spent time during their senior in high school doing small moving jobs as a side hustle, they began to notice the junk removal business was becoming increasingly popular in other parts of the country. Within a week of leaving college behind, the pair had launched Junk Police with just $700 to their name. Less than a year later they started 1-8444-DEMO-IT to cater to a growing demand from commercial clients. What started as a two-man operation has now grown to 12 employees and the partners recently purchased their first commercial property. 

Selena Bohinski | Vice President | First Class Travel Club LLC | Age: 34

After graduating from Drexel University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and a minor in business administration, Bohinski didn’t need to look far to be inspired by where her career may take her. That’s because her mother Kathy opened First Class Travel, a multiple award-winning travel agency, more than 30 years ago. As vice president of the company, Bohinski works to provide clients with the ultimate escape from their everyday lives with a focus on a high-quality vacation experience. Calling what she does a true passion, Bohinski is proud to offer First Class Travel’s free services to clients no matter if she’s helping them plan the perfect honeymoon or a getaway for some much needed R&R.

Nicholas J. Cangelosi | Vice President of Development | The Michaels Organization | Age: 37

Cangelosi is responsible for leading multi-family development efforts in the Northeast division of The Michaels Organization. In his role, he oversees all the planning, land acquisition and development, working closely with construction, design and property management teams. Of late, he’s been particularly enthusiastic about the work and he and the company have done in its hometown of Camden, where Cangelosi led the redevelopment of 1,053 new homes, community centers, medical spaces and public gathering areas. And his community involvement extends beyond the parameters of the job as he serves on the executive board for The Heart of Camden, the Rutgers University-Camden School of Nursing Leadership Committee, and as a chairman of both the Camden Business Improvement District and the New Life Community Development Corporation.

Hannah Dumas | Marketing Coordinator | PCH Technologies | Age: 25

Originally from Connecticut, Dumas first came to New Jersey to attend Monmouth University before finding her way to PCH Technologies in July 2020 when she was hired as a marketing assistant. Since then, she has helped the company grow its online presence significantly and because of her ability to help spread awareness of the PCH Technologies brand she was promoted to her current position. Dumas is a key part of planning internal team events as well as external prospecting events for the company and is involved with both the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is helping to advance the Gloucester County Chamber’s new young professionals group, The Crew on D.E.C.K.

Adriana Loughnane | Assistant Vice President, Retail Office Manager | WSFS Bank | Age: 30

Managing both WSFS’ Moorestown and Riverton offices, Loughnane coaches and leads her team of nine associates to meet branch and personal goals, assist customers with their financial needs and submit small business express loans. With more than 10 years spent in the banking industry, Loughnane counts business development as the most rewarding aspect and her favorite part of the job. She’s also an active community member, regularly taking part in weekly meetings with the Moorestown Rotary and monthly meetings with the Moorestown Business Association. Outside of town, she is an active member of the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce. 

Agata Kraszewska | Oncology Nurse Practitioner | Lindenberg Cancer & Hematology Center | Age: 30

Born in Poland, Kraszewska moved to America as a child and was raised in New Jersey. As she grew older, she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps by becoming a nurse and thus attended Rutgers College of Nursing in New Brunswick. Following graduation, she earned her first RN position with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in the hematology/oncology unit and she also worked in outpatient medical oncology at Princeton University. She arrived at Lindenberg Cancer & Hematology Center in 2019 and says she is inspired by the patients she gets to treat on a daily basis. Getting to know them outside of their cancer diagnosis is something she truly enjoys and she feels honored to be part of their journey, serve as an advocate and help them make informed decisions to instill hope for a better tomorrow.

Nicholas A. Dibble | Partner | Capehart Scatchard | Age: 37

Dibble focuses his practice in the representation of employers, self-insured companies and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation defense matters. He is the northeast regional president of the National Workers’ Compensation Defense Network (NWCDN), which is an organization comprised of top workers’ compensation defense firms across the country committed to partnering with other attorneys to provide clients with expertise, education and guidance that is tailored to their needs. Dibble currently serves on the board of the Magee Hospital Foundation and the Echo Lake Protective Association. These positions allow him to direct his philanthropic efforts towards improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and environmental conservation.

Angela Morrison | Owner | Angie’s At Your Service Virtual Assistance | Age: 30

After 15 years of working in the administrative field and obtaining a degree in paralegal studies, Morrison started Angie’s At Your Service Virtual Assistance in 2014. She always dreamed of owning a business, so after being forced to stay at home due to injury, she started doing side work for companies helping them with social media management, sales and admin support. Once fully recovered, Morrison took her passion for customer and administrative services as well as law and began building her dream. She is dedicated to helping business owners grow and develop while giving other mothers the opportunity to work from home to support their families. Morrison plans to continue to expand the business to provide other services so that her company can be a “one-stop support shop” for business owners.

Nicole McCann | Associate | Genova Burns LLC | Age: 28

McCann specializes in employment law, litigation, and human resources counseling and compliance. In line with Genova Burns’ commitment to providing a full range of legal services and fostering diversified attorney skills spanning numerous practice areas, she has also worked in the realms of traditional labor law, campaign finance regulations and complex commercial litigation. McCann is a proud Rutgers-Camden alumnus and during her tenure at Rutgers Law School she focused her studies on employment law and participated in the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law’s Trial Advocacy Competition. At the time of graduation from law school, McCann was awarded the American Bar Association and Bureau of National Affairs Labor and Employment Law Award. Prior to joining Genova Burns, McCann served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Christine Smith, J.S.C. in the Civil Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey – Atlantic/Cape May County Vicinage, where she assisted with cases in a wide array of civil practice areas.

Kara Maxwell Kane | Social Media and Community Outreach Coordinator | Camden County | Age: 32

A lifelong Camden County resident, Maxwell Kane is honored to have the opportunity to work for her local government. After graduating with honors from Rowan University, she began her career as an account manager in advertising. In 2018 she joined Camden County Events and Community Outreach and has been an impactful part of their team ever since. As part of her role, she carries out the vision of the Camden County Board of Commissioners to ensure residents are informed of the array of services and programs available to enhance our quality of life. She oversees all county social media channels, marketing campaigns and a weekly newsletter that reaches over 100,000 county residents. Her proudest moments to date involve events celebrating our heroic veterans and she finds that recognizing people in our community is one of the most fulfilling aspects of her career. 

Kristen Bongiovi | Senior Brand Specialist | AmeriHealth New Jersey | Age: 36

Bongiovi joined AmeriHealth New Jersey in 2011, and as a senior brand specialist she has led the firm through a comprehensive rebranding and overseen the development and implementation of all brand messaging. She was instrumental in launching AmeriHealth New Jersey’s most recent statewide brand awareness campaign, supporting growth goals in all markets. This initiative included the introduction of a new logo and tagline which has been applied to all media, ranging from out-of-home and transit to print and digital placements. Bongiovi also established the company’s initial social media strategy and tactics, identifying messaging opportunities and setting overall brand aesthetics. Furthermore, she is a member of the parent company’s Women of Independence group.

Jeffrey P. Catalano | Associate | Parker McCay | Age: 34

Catalano concentrates his practice in the areas of public schools/education and labor/employment. He is intrigued by the evolving world of the workplace and believes that understanding both employer and employee perspectives creates a solid foundation for helping clients build and maintain a healthy working environment. He has represented both labor and management over the course of his career, which provides him with the informed legal perspective his clients demand and value. Catalano’s experience includes a clerkship with the National Football League Management Council, representing the NFL teams in matters of collective bargaining, grievance arbitration and policy implementation. The challenge of unpacking problems to get to practical solutions is what he says he enjoys most about being an attorney.

Rob Powell | Vice President of Development and Marketing | Vineland Construction Co. | Age: 40

Having just turned age 40 a couple weeks after receiving the nomination for our 20 under 40, Powell just barely made the cut. But he’s certainly well deserving of the spotlight. A licensed real estate agent and certified commercial investment member, he joined Vineland Construction Co. in 2014 and his primary responsibilities include handling all marketing, business development, new development entitlement, and approvals, leasing, redevelopment and the acquisition and disposition of assets. His fingerprints are all over Vineland Construction’s vast portfolio including his work with local companies like New Jersey American Water and national clients ranging from Starbucks and Mavis to AutoZone and Everbrook Academy.

E. Tyler Ardon | Vice President | Risk Reduction Plus Group | Age: 31

As vice president and partner of Risk Reduction Plus Group, Ardon leads a team of experts that focus on reducing flood insurance costs for property owners utilizing FEMA mitigation techniques and proper rating strategies. Over the past nine years he has worked closely with communities in and out of the Community Rating System program to educate residents on flood insurance. In addition, he helps communities with cleaning up non-compliance issues that lead to insurance increases by deploying the flood risk evaluator process, which he helped develop as a tool for not only industry professionals but also homeowners. Ardon also enjoys traveling the country to help educate professionals on the use of the elevation certificate as it pertains to flood insurance and how the data translates into a premium for a property owner.

Samantha DeAlmeida | President | Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) New Jersey Chapter | Age: 32

A graduate of Monmouth University, DeAlmeida has more than a decade of experience in policy and advocacy, including stints in government affairs and health care lobbying for the New Jersey Hospital Association and the American Cancer Society. She joined ABC-NJ as second vice president and government affairs liaison in 2020 and nine months later was named president, becoming the youngest person in the country to lead one of the organization’s 69 chapters. Representing over 1,100 members in all specialties of the construction industry, DeAlmeida is proud to speak on their behalf and act as a powerful voice whether interacting with federal, state and local governments or the public at large.

Kristina Hernandez | CEO | KR1STNA Media | Age: 34

With an extensive background in consulting and various leadership positions in marketing and sales throughout her career, Hernandez decided to branch out on her own in 2014, when she was inspired to start KR1STNA Media. In the ensuing years she has established a stellar reputation as a project leader who brings her clients and partners together to create synergy in areas like marketing and sales, events and travel, consumer engagement, business development, technology and multimedia tools, among others. Hernandez utilizes her expertise in marketing across various platforms, her knowledge of the industry and her strong connections to help companies of all sizes reach new audiences, grow their business and tackle their unique challenges.
