E-ZPass For Gas

by NBC10/AP | Mar 23, 2005
E-ZPass For Gas E-ZPass motorists may have an easier time getting filled up at the tank in New Jersey.

The state Senate on Monday passed a bill that would enable drivers to use their toll transponders to pay for gasoline on the turnpike and Garden State Parkway.

The measure has yet to be taken up by the Assembly.

New Jersey's 1.4 million E-ZPass account holders can already use E-ZPass to pay for parking at Newark, Kennedy and LaGuardia airports.

Sen. Joseph Vitale of Middlesex County says the measure would help speed motorists on their way and cut down on summertime backups at the toll roads' gas pumps.
