Seniors Emergency Readiness Seminar

Seniors Emergency Readiness Seminar Burlington County seniors and care givers are encouraged to attend a free seminar on how to prepare for a natural disaster or other emergency Wednesday morning, May 2nd at the Emergency Services Training Center in Westampton.

The program from 9:45am to 12:45pm includes several speakers, lunch, giveaways and door prizes. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Burlington County Freeholders, Office on Aging, Long-Term Care Network, Health Department and Office of Emergency Management.

Speakers will include Emergency Management Coordinator Kevin Tuno, Sheriff Jean Stanfield and Mary Ann Flatley, senior public health nurse with the Health Department.

“This conference will help Burlington County older adults and care givers know how to prepare themselves, their homes, pets and families in the event of an emergency,” said Freeholder Dawn Marie Addiego.

Seating is limited and reservations are requested by April 27 by calling the Office on Aging at 609-265-5069. Transportation can be provided if needed. The Emergency Services Training Center is located at 53 Academy Drive behind the county library and animal shelter off Woodlane Road.
