Surf Get Sunk

The Pride started swinging early, as they scored six runs off Surf starter Marty Barnett in the first inning, featuring a grand slam by Damian Sapp. Barnett would leave the game due to a line drive off the arm after only two-thirds of an inning pitched.
As Surf reliever Aaron Lane came in to pitch four and one-third scoreless innings, Atlantic City produced a slew of one run singles as they rallied to tie the game at six after five innings, only to have the tie broken by Murray’s homer.
Ex-Phillie Brian Hunter went 2-3 with a walk and one run batted in, and Emison Soto hit an eighth inning two run home run for the Surf.
Pride closer Ned Darley came in to pick up his third save of the year. The Surf face the Nashua Pride Saturday night at 7:05 PM at The Sandcastle, and again on Sunday at 2:05 PM.
