Biggest question
Can the three teams from South Jersey repeat as state champions?
It would be difficult, but far from impossible. These are expected to be three of the top teams in South Jersey. Two of the teams are paced by players who have committed to Mississippi State – Gloucester Catholic senior shortstop Noah Danza and Cherokee junior lefty Cooper Burti. Northern Burlington is led by senior pitcher-infielder Cole Marchetti, a Rutgers commit, who batted .462 and struck out 55 in 30 innings on the mound. These are among the teams that will also battle for the No. 1 spot in South Jersey.
