Sports Alive! In South Jersey ATCO, N.J.— Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to meet local mascots and an author as books and sports will come together at the South County Regional Library on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

During “Sports Alive,” kids will meet Finley, the Camden Riversharks mascot, who will be hanging about from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Joe Massucci, author of the children’s book “There’s a Cricket in the House,” will also be on hand. O.C. Bee, the mascot from the Old Country Buffet restaurant chain, will make an appearance.

Members of the Teen Advisory Board will read sports-themed stories to the children, who are encouraged to wear their favorite sports attire to the program. The library will provide light refreshments.

The Teen Advisory Board planned the program to celebrate National Teen Read Week, which will officially end on the 20th.
