Hit The Beach For New Year’s

Hit The Beach For New Year’s Just because the beaches are dead this time of year that doesn’t mean that the Nightlife at the SJ Shore is as well. If you plan to hit the beach this New Year’s Eve, you better have an attack plan. Lucky for you we’ve prepared one for you. This week we highlight some of the HOT shore sports for New Year’s Eve.

Sea Isle City will be rockin with a New Year’s Eve bash at the La Costa Lounge, located at 40th Street and Landis Avenue. There's no cover for the free buffet, party favors, champagne toast and the Tuckahoe River Band provides the sounds. (Cash Bar).

Staying in Sea Isle, you can celebrate New Year’s Eve at Ocean Drive, located on Landis Ave. The New Year's Eve party, complete with party favors, appetizers, dinner buffet, cash bar and champagne toast sounds like the place to be as the clock strikes midnight. Entertainment will be provided by Animal House and DJ Steve & Company. Tickets are $20 per-person.

Rio Station, Routes 9 and 47 in Rio Grande is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with a DJ, party favors and a champagne toast. Partiers can order from a la carte menu from 5 p.m. or have surf and turf package beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets for the event are $39.95 per-person, and that includes champagne. The DJ begins at 9 p.m.

If Blues is more your thing, head on over to the Rock'n Chair Restaurant & Jazz Cafe at 2409 Dune Drive in Avalon where Harmonica player Steve Guyger will be playing the blues for the New Year's Eve party with party favors and a champagne toast. Tickets are $20, or you can order from a la carte menu from 5 to 8 p.m. For the big eaters, get a five-course, gourmet dinner package for $75 per person. (Cash bar for everyone.)

In Wildwood this New Year’s Eve? Check out the Shamrock, located at 3700 Pacific Ave. where DJ Danno will spin in the New Year with great sounds, party favors and a champagne toast. Dine on a hot and cold buffet and 20-cent beers. A $5 cover is all it costs to party it up at the Shamrock!

Mojo's in Margate is the place to be if you’re looking for something a bit classier. Flag down the butler if you crave some hors d'oeuvres, (that’s right, I said butler) or hit the open bar serving top shelf drinks if you need to quench that thirst. There will be plenty of great food and drink flowing all night, and a champagne toast at midnight. As you may have guessed, this isn't your typical New Year's Eve party. Those of you looking to get out there and dance are in luck as well, as Johnny Andrews and his seven-piece Rhythm and Dance band will be there to keep you moving as the clock strikes midnight. Ticket prices are $195, but it’s money well spent as this party is going to be one to remember right up until next year!

Still want more options? Well, Seymour Baggs will be shaking things up at Schooners in Somers Point, and over at The Wave (located inside Trump Marina Hotel/Casino), Don't Call Me Francis keep the house rockin well past midnight. (There will be a $10 cover for Gentleman only.)

Now that you have an idea of what’s going on at the shore this New Year’s Eve, get out there and have a great night and a Happy New Year!
