County Store Expands Services

by Press Release | Dec 18, 2005
County Store Expands Services Visitors to the County Corner store in the Moorestown Mall this month will see expanded services beyond the County Clerk including the offices on Aging, Disabilities, Recycling, Veteran’s Affairs, Burlington County College and Rutgers Small Business Development Center.

In response to County Clerk Philip E. Haines’ request to other offices to participate, the December calendar offers scheduled dates and times for representatives from other programs to be at the County Corner to provide information and answer questions.

“An increasing number of residents have been using the services offered at the County Corner with more than 1,800 visitors at the store in October, and we want people to take full advantage of the store’s convenient location and hours,” Haines said.

“In addition to the many clerk services offered such as passport processing, notary, land records research, trade name registrations, the County Tax Board also has hours, as well as the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (S.H.I.P.), and the Surrogate’s Office by appointment,” Haines said.

For S.H.I.P., the Burlington County Retired Senior Volunteer Program offers free and confidential assistance with the Medicare system and supplemental health insurance forms. The Surrogate’s Office assists with probate issues and the Tax Board representative answers questions about property tax issues and available deduction programs.

The County Corner, which opened on August 18, also has many free publications and brochures for the public. Located in the northeastern wing near Sears, the store is open Monday through Friday 10am to 9pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. County Clerk services are offered every day.

For information on the calendar of other program schedules, visit the website at www.co.burlington.nj.us/departments/countyclerk or call the store at (856) 642-3833.
