Riversharks AIDS Awareness Night

This event is part of the ACSNJ “Know Your Status” awareness campaign that encourages everyone in South Jersey to get tested and know their HIV/AIDS status. “We want to educate people of all ages about how easy it is to get tested. Education is the key to prevention. We want people to understand the facts about HIV/AIDS so they can make educated decisions like choosing to get tested,” said Arthur Dion, President/CEO of ACSNJ.
During the July 20 game, each Riversharks player will wear a special one-of-a-kind red jersey, sporting both the Riversharks logo and the ACSNJ logo, for the entire game. These exclusive, autographed, collectible players’ jerseys will then be auctioned off after the game for fans to take home and enjoy.
“People of all ages can have fun and benefit from understanding more about this important issue,” said Donald Albertson, Director of Marketing and Development of ACSNJ.
ACSNJ is currently recruiting attendees for AIDS Awareness Night. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by contacting Don Albertson at 856-933-9500, ext. 264 or email at donald_albertson@acsnj.org.
Volunteers are also needed to help work at a concession stand and pass out literature. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Suzanne Paquette at 856-933-9500, ext. 204.
Campbell’s Field, the home of the Riversharks, is located at 401 N. Delaware Avenue in Camden, NJ 08102.
