Great Taste and Cool Jewels Fundraiser

Great Taste and Cool Jewels Fundraiser Seven of the region’s leading mental health and wellness programs will be the beneficiaries of a full week of fundraising events from November 11- 19.

The events, which are part of McNelis & Sherry’s ‘Great Taste and Cool Jewels,’ will be hosted by 10 local restaurants and 8 area retailers who will present festivities and prizes that include

• Two gourmet specialty dinners at Cork and Fuji

• $1,000 shopping spree

• Jewels, including prizes from designers such as Lagos, David Yurman, Roberto Coin, and Mikimoto

• In-store trunk shows

“This year’s events will feature fabulous designers, exquisite food, great parties, and fantastic prizes,” says Judith McNelis, event chair and owner of McNelis & Sherry, which underwrites all expenses associated with the event.

“We want to stress that because of the overwhelming support we receive from our sponsors, we can guarantee that 100% of the money that we raise—from sponsors, from sales, and from promotions—will go directly to the beneficiaries—with no expenses deducted,” adds McNelis.

During the event week of November 11- 19, five percent of all designated customer purchases at McNelis & Sherry Fine Jewelers, will be donated to the beneficiaries. In addition, there also will be special opportunities for fun and prizes in the store and at all “Tasteful Partners” locations.

Programs that will benefit from ‘Great Taste and Cool Jewels’ concern: Autism and Behavioral Health Sciences at Underwood Memorial Hospital; Alzheimer’s at Virtua Health Systems; Child Abuse Therapy at UMDNJ—CARES Institute; Complementary Cancer Therapies at Cooper University Hospital; SIDS initiative at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital; Schools & Community Organized for Parent Education at Kennedy Health Systems; and Promoting Mental Resiliency in Children and Teens at the MHASWNJ.

Participating restaurants include Fuji, Cork, Catelli, Nonna’s, Los Amigos, Scaturro’s, Crepe & Ribbon, Cristina, Gerhard’s Café Bakery, Bistro Di Marino and Arnie’s Butcher Shop and Culinaria.

Participating retailers include McNelis & Sherry, Au Courant, Sansone & Co., Suky, Davison’s Men’s Clothing, Ellie, E.G. Quinn Photography, Nonna’s and Mane Stop Salon & Day Spa.

The primary sponsors include Archer & Greiner, Ballard Spahr, Susquehanna Bank, Flaster Greenberg, ExcelleRx, allRisk, UM Holdings Foundation, Whitesell Construction Company, and Auto lenders of Voorhees.
