The Stars Ball is Coming

by Press Release | Oct 25, 2008
The Stars Ball is Coming On Saturday, November 8, 2008, the Board of Directors of Little Smiles will be hosting a black-tie (optional) gala, The Stars Ball, at Independence Visitors Center in Historic Old City, Philadelphia. The proceeds from the event and silent auction will benefit Little Smiles, a non-profit that provides products and services to sick children at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Chester County Hospital. The opportunity to participate as a sponsor and attendee in this inaugural event is limited. You will find no better opportunity to combine great music, dancing, camaraderie, philanthropy and even a little business.

What’s The Stars Ball?
The Stars Ball is a black tie (optional) gala that is modeled after the Oscars. The only difference is that the actors are replaced with people who are much more important- the kids in our region battling cancer and other horrible diseases. For one night, the kids are able to escape the cruel reality of needles, treatments and medicine into a fantasy… one where they are the star!

The girls get their make-up on, hair done and dresses on… the boys are fitted in black tuxes… then they are picked up in a stretch limo and brought to the venue to walk the red carpet into the event. All of the adults are lining the red carpet to get photo’s and autograph’s of their favorite Little Stars. This is the night to make them feel special and give them a time that they will always remember.

Who we benefit
“Little Smiles” is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides toys, games, videos, computers, outings, special events, limousine transportation, celebrity meet and greets, concert and sporting event tickets, and specialty dinners for children in local hospitals, hospices and shelters. The majority of children we provide for are terminally ill.

Our mission is to help kids escape, at least for a little while, from their treatment rooms into a land of fantasy. We respond to the needs of the children, and provide whatever we can to make their world a better place.

This year, with your contribution, we can continue not only to support and make a difference in the lives of these children who need it most, but create awareness throughout Greater Philadelphia of the extraordinary and unique work we do. We are respectfully requesting your espousal, by asking you to join us as a select sponsor or make a donation for the silent auction. Please contact Steve Grandizio via phone at 215-925-1545 for information on how to provide your support.

The ladies and gentlemen of “Little Smiles” would sincerely like to thank you for considering a sponsorship or donation.
