Make Plans to Lend a Hand On Sunday, October 5, the 15th Annual Komen Central and South Jersey Race for the Cure® will be held at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. The Race, hosted by Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey, includes a USTAF certified Women’s and Men’s 5K Run, a Co-Ed 2.5 and 1 mile walk, and Children’s Fun Runs. The festivities begin at 8:15 am and the Race Day event registration fee is $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. Members of the South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition will bring the stardust and magic of ballroom dancing to the fight of women’s lives. SJBCC’s first Dance for the Cure will take to the dance floor from 1- 6:30pm, October 5 at the New Stardust Ballroom in Bellmawr, New Jersey. Stardust owner Joyce Hanley has donated the Ballroom, as well as music for the event. The day will bring together survivors, activists and business leaders from across the region for a shimmering day of memories. Professional and semi - professional Ballroom Dancers will showcase their talents and provide instruction in the grace of the dance, with a class for beginners. In addition to dance, a dinner buffet will be catered by Caterina Caterers, and a silent auction will offer prizes ranging from gift certificates to vacation home retreats. Tickets for the Dinner and Dance are $35 each. A table for 8 can be reserved for $260 and a table for 10 will cost $325.
