SJ Sports - Girls H.S. Hoops

Langhorne led her team to victory last night in a Burlington County League, Liberty Division girls' basketball game over Northern Burlington by scoring 31 points and pulling down 16 rebounds as Willingboro walked away with a 66 – 45 victory in this showdown between Top Ten Teams.
Langhorne struck early, scoring 28 of her 31 points in the first three quarters, and helping her team to seal the victory by halftime.
The hype before the game was the match-up between Centers Langhorne and Northern Burlington’s Erica Davis. Davis who dropped 21 points and 10 rebounds, ended up sitting out a majority of the second quarter with two fouls, although with Northern Burlington shooting only 20 for 58 from the field, it didn’t make much of a difference.
Northern Burlington’s coach Terry Jennings stated the obvious when he said the difference was that we didn’t make our shots.
The win puts 5th ranked Willingboro at 3-0 overall and 2-1 in the Liberty Division, while No. 7 Northern Burlington dropped to 2-1, 1-1.
