Dancing Down The Shore

Fridays you can head on over to Delareto’s on the White Horse Pike in Absecon for your fill of Line Dancing. This weekly event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and continues to 10:30 p.m. The $6 cover includes a light snack. For more information, call 609.652.8250.
The Showbarn, 615 East Moss Mill Road in Historic Smithville hosts Country Western Line Dancing every Friday night as well. An $8 cover charge gets you in the door and includes a free lesson and light snack. Don’t forget your cowboy hat, and please leave your horse outside.
On Monday Jan. 7, you can stop by the Deerfield Elks at 642 Garton Road in Bridgeton for more Country Dancing. Every Monday is beginners night from 7 to 11 p.m. A five-dollar cover will get you a free lesson, and dinner is available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. as well. For more information, please call 856.327.0912.
Monday in Mays Landing you’ll find Country Western Dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. at Young’s Skating Center, 13th and Park Road. The $10 cover includes a light snack and a free lesson for those of you who need to brush up on your boot scoot boogie.
For the Single crowd, head on over to Tomatoe’s Restaurant and Bar at 930 Amherst Ave. in Margate for a Drop in Social sponsored by Shore Singles Network. This event runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and admission is $8 dollars. Please call 800.537.3859 for more information.
If by Wednesday you still find yourself in need of more, head back over the Delareto’s in Absecon for more line dancing. That’s right, they are doing it again at Delareto’s from 7:30 to 10:30, but this time the cover is only $3 dollars.
And not to be outdone, the Deerfield Elks in Bridgeton will be holding Country Dancing (Intermediate Night) on Wednesday as well. Dance your butt off from 7 to 11 p.m. There is a $5 lessons fee, and dinner is available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Call, 856. 327.0912 for more information.
On Thursday Jan. 10 you can shuffle on down to Cape May for a Country Western Dance from 7 o 10 p.m. at the Convention Hall, Stockton Place on the Promenade. The cost is only $ 6, but be sure to bring your own snack, as none will be offered. Please call 609.927.9580 for more information on this event.
