Shore: RVs, Karate and Crooners Is the warm weather putting you in the mood for getting out and about? Are you thinking about all the things you want to do as soon as spring is really here? Are RVing and camping on your mind? If so, you’re in luck! This weekend you can check out what’s new in RV and camper products at the 7th Annual Atlantic City RV and Camping Show.

At the 7th Annual Atlantic City RV and Camping Show, you can begin to plan your RV and camping vacations for the coming season, see the new 2002 RVs, learn about what it’s like to go on vacation in a recreational vehicle.

No matter whether you are an experienced RVer or Camper, or someone who is just starting out, this is the place to learn about new RV products, great travel destinations, and the “on the road” lifestyle. Take advantage of the opportunity to check out everything from luxurious top-of-the-line motorhomes, to folding campers, and everything in between. You can also talk to representatives from the regions highest rated campgrounds and plan your summer RV travel. Examine hundreds of motorhomes, minihomes, truck campers, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and more; save big on purchasing an RV with RV Dealer and manufacturers incentives.

The RV and Camping Show is open noon to 7 pm on Friday, March 8; 10 am to 7 pm Saturday, March 9; and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday, March 10 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $6 for children 12-17, and free for children under 12. $6 for seniors on Friday only. For more information, call (800) 332-3976.

If you want to start your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations early, go to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 10, in Atlantic City. The parade starts at 1pm, at New Jersey Avenue and the Boardwalk.

If you’re in the mood for sports and competitions, here are two exciting events going on this weekend:

International Karate Championship--March 8 to 10 at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City. Registration begins 1 p.m. and events begin 5 p.m. March 8. Registration opens 8 a.m. and events begin at 9 a.m. March 9; finals are at 7:30 p.m. March 9. Registration 8 a.m., events begin 10 a.m. March 10. Spectator Absecon, Line Dancing, March 8, 15, 22 and 29 - 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at admission is $10 per day or $25 for all three days. Call (856) 797-0300 for more information.

State High School Wrestling Championships--March 9 and 10 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Starts at 1 pm March 9 and 9:30 am. March 10. Doors open at noon March 9 and 8:30 am, March 10. Finals start at 2:15 pm, March 10. $8 adults, $6 students and senior citizens.

If you’re more into nature, try these: Nature Center open House: Birds on the Wind: The Magic of Migration; Friday, March 8, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Migratory birds perform unbelievable feats of physical endurance each year. From the 20,000-mile annual journey of Artic Terns to the 1,200-mile non-stop flight of Blackpoll Warblers, there are still many unanswered questions concerning the how's, whys and when's of bird migration. Join renowned bird photographer Kevin T. Karlson for a fascinating slide presentation exploring the mysteries of the seasonal migratory movements of birds. Cost: FREE! 7th Great Annual Duck Roundup in Cape May & Cumberland Counties; Saturday, March 9 , 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pete Dunne and Jay Darling (captain of the "Mighty Waterfowlers" team in the World Series of Birding) will lead this roundup to oceanfront hotspots and little-known Delaware Bayshore sites. Late winter/early spring is the time of peak diversity; we can expect to see 23 or so species of waterfowl, plus an assortment of other sea and land birds. If you’re looking for a good concert, try these in Atlantic City:

This weekend you can see country superstar Alan Jackson and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young at the Taj Mahal. Jackson will take the stage on Friday, March 8 with special guest Jamie O’Neal. Tickets are priced between $36-$46. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young are performing on Saturday night, March 9, with tickets priced between $46-$226 at the box office.

And, you watched him grow up on the Partridge Family, you might even have an album or two…catch David Cassidy in concert at the Tropicana. Concerts at 9 pm on Friday, March 8, and 8 pm on Saturday, March 9. Tickets are $55, $75, $10 at the box office.
