Free Business Seminars Two free entrepreneurial seminars will be offered by the Rutgers-Camden Small Business Development Center at the Burlington County Library in Westhampton in April. A free entrepreneurial seminar is among the four workshops to be offered by the Rutgers-Camden Small Business Development Center throughout Gloucester County in April.

"New Jersey State Certification Program" from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, will discuss the state's vendor registration program (SAVI-II) and unified certification program, as well as methods for getting listed with the New Jersey Department of Treasury.

"Building and Financing your Business with the SBA," from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, will connect entrepreneurs with leading area bank lending officers who will discuss the U.S. Small Business Administration's Guaranteed Lending Program, elements of an effective loan, and how to navigate the loan application process.

Registration for each seminar is free.

*** Gloucester County Library in Mullica Hill will offer a free seminar, "Financial and Technical Assistance for Small Business," from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 4. The seminar will detail the U.S. Small Business Administration's Guaranteed Lending program. The Gloucester County Department of Economic Development will discuss its various small business programs and the Cooperative Business Assistance Corporation will discuss its Micro Loan program.

Gloucester County College will host three seminars, starting with "Business Ownership, Contracts and Agreements" on Tuesday, April 5. The course will provide a basic understanding of business contract law with an overview of the different contract types and situations requiring attorney consultation. Other topics discussed include legal structures, partnerships and partnership agreements, corporation and shareholder agreements. Registration is $40.

On Wednesday, April 6, "Case Studies in Business Planning" will discuss preparing the portion of a business plan dealing with financial statements. Registration is $40.

A two-part course, "Starting a Business from A to Z," will be held on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27. The seminar will discuss legal forms of doing business in New Jersey, how to register a business, setting up bookkeeping records, Federal and State taxation, payroll, insurance and licensing. Registration is $80.

All sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gloucester County College, located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell. To register, call (856) 415-2217.
