Get ready to rev your engine in 2007! Fans of antique and classic cars will want to visit Historic Cold Spring Village’s popular, annual Classic and Antique Auto Show on Saturday and Sunday, August 18th and 19th, from 11am-3pm. Cars will be on display each day amongst the shaded paths and historic buildings that line the Village. This event is generously sponsored by Kindle Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Dodge, Suzuki, and Isuzu Truck. See beautifully restored and preserved vehicles, from muscle cars to light trucks, from the 1910s to the 1970s parked along the Village’s tree-lined, shell-paved lanes. On Saturday, members of the Jersey Cape Antique Auto Club will be showing their cars, while cars from the Villas Fire Department Auto Club will be displayed on Sunday. “This is one of our longest-running, as well as most popular, events,” said Anne Salvatore, HCSV Executive Director. Fun and educational activities for children are featured Tuesday through Friday from June 19th to September 2nd, as well as weekend events until mid-September. Historic Cold Spring Village is a non-profit, open air living history museum that portrays the daily life of a rural South Jersey community of the Early American period. It features 26 restored historic structures on a wooded 22-acre site. From late June to early September, interpreters and artisans in period clothing preserve the trades, crafts and heritage of “The Age of Homespun.” Historic Cold Spring Village is located on Route 9, three miles north of Cape May and a mile and a half west of the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway. HCSV is open Tuesday through Sunday, (closed Mondays) from June 19th to September 2nd, as well as the weekends of September 8th & 9th, and 15th & 16th, and October 20th. Admission during the season is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors (62 and over) and $5.00 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are admitted free. Unlimited free admission is available with membership in the Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village.
