(Binghamton, NY)- Binghamton broke a 1-1 tie by scoring three runs with two outs in the 5th Inning en route to a 14-4 win over Trenton on Sunday.
Trenton (67-74) jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a piar of doubles by Freddy Sanchez and Garry Maddox. Sanchez had three hits on the night.
Binghamton (72-69) scored in the bottom half on a wild pitch by Josh Garrett as Mike Curry crossed the plate. Curry had four hits and four runs scored in the game.
In the 5th Inning, Garrett retired the first two hitters, but then saw the Mets scored three runs to take a 4-1 lead. He retired the first two hitters of the 6th Inning, but left after issuing a walk. John Ambrose entered, but the first six batters he faced reached base. In all, the Mets scored six runs to take a 10-1 lead.
