SJ Orgs: Comm. Healthcare Inc. The South Jersey Healthcare’s Community Health Care Inc. program is a non-profit, community-based medical and dental care provider serving the area since 1974. The service offers quality and cost-effective healthcare to residents who are not provided healthcare through their jobs or cannot afford it on their own. The Community Health Care program offers financial counseling for residents on applying for public or private insurance. The service also promotes educational outreach throughout the community to advocate improving the health and well-being of local residents.

Community Health Care Inc. has two convenient locations in Vineland and Bridgeton for patients in search of medical or dental care. Both facilities offer reduced fees based on income levels. The practice provides general sick care, women’s health screenings, physicals, children’s shots, low-cost prescription plans, referrals, hearing and vision screening services, and several other health care practices.

The Community Health Care Vineland facility also offers reduced-fee dental services with quality practitioners. Services include dental care (exams and cleaning), fillings, denture fittings and minor extractions that can be performed without the services of an oral surgeon.

The Bridgeton and Vineland offices also offer podiatry services for patients seeking treatment for painful arches, bunions, ingrown nails and sports related injuries. The facility is also equipped to fit patients for orthotics to correct these painful problems.

In addition to quality medical care, the program also provides educational outreach through school-based programs. These programs are funded by the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, making it possible for these programs to remain free to residents. The Bridgeton High School, Middle School, and Downe Township Elementary School offer health, mental health, substance abuse, employment, and prevention services for students and families.

The program also reaches out to the community by offering several programs such as shots for tots, the healthy youth development program, the abstinence program, health fairs and the migrant farm worker program. With the help of bilingual outreach employees, the program is able to reach those in the community who speak English as a second language. These counselors can educate residents on the benefits of preventative healthcare, proper hygiene, vision screening and several other topics. Clients using this program will automatically receive financial counseling to help determine the payment method and whether the client is eligible to receive state-assisted insurance or a reduced fee program.

The Community Health Care program is located at Medical Services, 105 Manheim Avenue in Bridgeton or on 319 Landis Avenue, Suite A and B in Vineland. For more information, contact the Bridgeton location at (856) 451-4700 or the Vineland location at (856) 691-3300.
