Free Seminars for Small Businesses

Free Seminars for Small Businesses Six free and low-cost entrepreneurial seminars will be offered by the Rutgers-Camden Small Business Development Center throughout Camden County in October.

The Business Information Center at Rutgers-Camden will host three free seminars, including "Applying for a Micro Loan" from 9 to 11am Thursday, Oct. 9. This free seminar will discuss the availability of and eligibility requirements for the U.S. Small Business Administration's Micro Loan program. The workshop will discuss the impact of credit history, business planning, the application and review process, and eligibility criteria.

"SBA's 8(a) Certification" will be offered from 9 to 11am Wednesday, Oct. 15. This free workshop will discuss certification used exclusively to help small businesses owned and operated by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

"Tools for Small Business" will be offered from 9 to 11am Thursday, Oct. 23. This free program, sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service Business Center, will discuss direct mailing procedures along with services for mailing and shipping for business owners.

The Gloucester Township Camden County Store will host two free seminars, including "Division of Property Management" from 6 to 8pm Thursday, Oct. 23. This free seminar is open to any contractor or consultant interested in the pre-qualification program.

"Group Start-up Counseling" will be offered from 1 to 3pm Friday, Oct. 31. This free class is an abbreviated overview to the many topics involved with starting a business.
