Mother Says Son Has Brain Damage The mother of a South Jersey teenager injured in a fight last month said her son has now has irreversible brain damage.

Authorities say Brett Wilson was pummeled and kicked until he became unconscious. The 18-year-old remains in a coma at Cooper University Hospital.

Three of his Haddon Township High School classmates remain in a juvenile detention center and face aggravated assault charges in his attack.

Investigators believe the fight grew out of an earlier dispute that started at a convenience store after a comment was made about a girl.

Some 40 young people were involved in the Nov. 2 brawl, which also injured four other Pennsauken teens.
