Volunteer to Preseve Natural Beauty

Since Cape May County is one of America’s nature hotspots, many people want to volunteer to help preserve that natural beauty. Volunteers are needed on a year-round basis to help with office work that include envelope stuffing, answering phones and related tasks, to leading guided walks, interpreting aquarium animals and even construction projects such as erecting fences for shorebird nest protection.
The non-profit Wetlands Institute is dedicated to education and research. Its 34-acre site on Stone Harbor Boulevard, overlooking thousands of acres of salt marsh, features the Secrets of the Salt Marsh aquarium, Terrapin Station exhibit, Tidepool Shop, marsh nature trail, and daily educational programs for the public.
