Small Plane Forced to Land A small airplane was forced to land at the Camden County Airport on Tuesday night by Philadelphia police after having a close call with a television news helicopter in northeast Philadelphia, authorities said.

Police said the plane was flying dangerously low and nearly collided with a KYW-TV news helicopter that was covering a traffic accident on Interstate 95.

Three people in the highway accident were injured and taken to hospitals, police said.

The pilot of the small plane took off from Camden County Airport earlier Tuesday, according to Winslow Township Police Sgt. Rocco Delaurentis.

A message left with the Federal Aviation Administration was not immediately returned Tuesday night.

The incident happened on the same day that a WNBC-TV helicopter spun wildly out of control and crashed on a Brooklyn rooftop. No one was seriously injured in the crash.
