Free Human Rights Conference

Free Human Rights Conference A one-day, free conference dedicated to human and civil rights will be offered on Rutgers University's Camden campus from 9:15am to 6pm on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The conference will take place in room 106 of the Rutgers University School of Law at Camden, located on Fifth Street, between Cooper Street and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

Regional experts will gather for panel discussions on "Fighting Terrorism While Upholding Civil Liberties," "Education with Emphasis on Brown v. Board of Education," "Disparities in Media Coverage," and "Criminal Justice System in Black and White." An awards luncheon will be held from 1:30 to 3pm, and a closing ceremony will be held from 6:30 to 8pm.

The Rutgers-Camden Human and Civil Rights Conference is sponsored by a variety of Rutgers-Camden student organizations, including the African Student Organization, Brehon Law Society, Progressive Student Organization, and the Black Law Student Organization, among others.
