Policeman recovering from accident A South Jersey police officer is recovering from surgery.

He was injured when his police cruiser was involved in an accident with another car Sunday morning in Bridgeton.

Authorities said the Bridgeton police officer was responding to a call when another driver pulled out of an alley in front of him and the two cars collided.

The officer was rushed to the hospital, and had to have surgery for a broken femur.

The driver of the other car was also hurt.
