Volunteers Needed

The 12 week training is free of charge, and will teach advocates the dynamics of sexual assault. The advocate will learn crisis intervention skills, how to care for the victim, and become familiar with medical, legal and therapy resources available in Ocean County.
Graduates of the training will handle hotline calls from their homes, and be available on their shift to meet victims at Ocean County hospital emergency rooms or police stations to provide crisis intervention and support to victims of sexual assault. Volunteers are needed so we may continue to provide valuable assistance to rape and sexual abuse victims in Ocean County.
Mature adults with related work or life experience will be considered. For more information, or to schedule an interview, please call Michelle Aimone, MSW, Program Coordinator, at (609) 494-1554.
