Nominees Sought for Preservation Award

Nominees Sought for Preservation Award Burlington County is seeking nominations for its 2008 Historic Preservation Recognition Program which honors residents, organizations and municipalities that have contributed to the preservation of the county’s rich history.

Presented each year in May during National Historic Preservation Month by the Burlington County Freeholders, the awards recognize those who have taken steps to preserve and document historical resources, as well as those who have proven to be remarkable leaders and educators in the field of history.

Categories to be recognized include: historic preservation and restoration projects; preservation planning and education; and preservation leadership. Individuals and organizations, including owners of historic properties, are invited to submit nominations. Projects completed between 2002 and 2007 are eligible for nomination, and the deadline for submissions is March 31.
