Brown Should Return Tonight

Brown Should Return Tonight The Sixers say they expect Brown to rejoin the club for Wednesday`s game against the Utah Jazz in Philadelphia.

Brown did meet with team owner Pat Croce and general manager Billy King on Tuesday, sources told ESPN`s David Aldridge, but Brown said he simply needed a break after the team played seven of the past nine on the road.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported Tuesday that Brown held a team meeting after Friday night`s home loss to the Mavericks, challenging the players to adjust to the absence of point guard Eric Snow, who`s out six-to-eight weeks after surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right ankle.

None of the Sixers who has played point guard -- Aaron McKie, Vernon Maxwell, Allen Iverson and rookie Pepe Sanchez -- has shown Snow`s ability to coordinate the offense and key the defense. This has forced Brown to change some sets, the Daily News reported. Brown indicated he thought they all could do more by playing "the right way."
