Canadiens Snap Flyers` Streak Montreal`s Oleg Petrov had a goal and an assist and Jose Theodore stopped 29 shots as the Canadiens snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.

Stephane Robidas and Chad Kilger also scored for the Canadiens, who tied a club record with only 13 shots on goal. Montreal was outshot 15-3 in the second period.

Peter White and Keith Primeau scored for the Flyers, who had been unbeaten in their previous eight home games (7-0-1) since losing to New Jersey on Jan. 18. Theodore preserved his 14th win of the year when he kicked away a close shot by Ruslan Fedotenko with three minutes left in the game.

Robidas put the Canadiens ahead 1-0 at 15:13 of the first period when his shot from the right circle bounced off the far post into the net.

Petrov made it 2-0 less than four minutes later. He scored from the slot after taking a centering pass from Saku Koivu, who had wrestled the puck from Philadelphia`s Mark Recchi.

White brought the Flyers within 2-1 at 8:07 of the second period by shoveling the puck past Theodore who was caught out of position attempting to pick off a pass from Fedotenko.

Petrov and Kilger then combined on a breakaway at 14:50 of the second period with Petrov streaking down the right side and feeding Kilger with a brilliant pass in front of a wide open net.

Primeau scored a fluke goal at 5:20 of the third period when his pass intended for Fedotenko in the crease bounced off Montreal defenseman Patrice Brisebois into the net.
