Primeau, Flyers Snuff Out Flames Eric Desjardins and Chris McAllister also scored for the Flyers. Jarome Iginla scored both goals for the Flames.

Primeau, who also had an assist, also reached a career-best with 32 goals this season. He made a nifty forehand-to-backhand move to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead 8:33 in.

Primeau`s second goal of the game came from the slot on a power play at 14:07 of the second period. He completed his first career hat trick with an empty-net goal with 40 seconds left.

Desjardins scored 2:40 into the second period, beating goalie Fred Brathwaite with a slap shot from beyond the right circle.

Iginla, who leads Calgary with 26 goals, converted a rebound at 11:30 of the second to make it 2-1, and added his second goal on a power play with 5:10 left in the game after the Flyers built a 4-1 lead.

McAllister gave Philadelphia the three-goal advantage with a back-hander from in close early in the third. It was only his second goal in 119 games and fifth of his 215-game career.

Brathwaite, peppered with 16 shots in the first period, dropped his second straight start after going unbeaten (2-0-1) since replacing Mike Vernon. Calgary was held without a shot on goal for the game`s first 12 minutes.

Philadelphia center Daymond Langkow was scratched because of two badly bruised feet, snapping a string of 227 straight games played, a streak tied for fifth longest in the NHL. He played 205 of those games with the Flyers.

Michel Picard, making his second appearance with the Flyers since being brought up from their AHL affiliate, had two assists.

Game notes Calgary played the first of five straight road games. The Flames have a better record road record (13-13-4) than home (10-14-8). ... The Flames, winless in four games (0-3-1) against the Flyers, have not won at Philadelphia since 1996. ... With the addition of C Derek Plante to the lineup, 13 players have appeared in at least one game this seasons for the Flyers and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL. ... Primeau has 25 goals and 26 assists in 37 games since Bill Barber became Flyers coach.
