Surf Bats Come Alive For Win

ATLANTIC CITY - The Surf`s Koichi Taniguchi pitched seven solid innings and Emison Soto hit a two run home run to lead Atlantic City (4-2) past Lehigh Valley (0-5) 8-6 Thursday evening at the Sandcastle.

Taniguchi (1-1) surrendered only four hits and one run, while walking none.

Atlantic City`s Alex Llanos went 2-4 with two doubles and four RBI`s, and George West extended his hitting streak to five games with a single.

Harvey Hargrove hit a solo home run and Francisco Lebron hit a ninth inning three run double for Lehigh. Despite Lehigh Valley`s comeback attempt in the ninth, the Surf held on to clinch the three game sweep.
