BIG SIXTH INNING CARRIES SURF A nine-run sixth inning proved to be more than enough to lift the Atlantic City Surf (14-14) past the first-place Somerset Patriots (17-8) 11-7 Sunday afternoon at The Sandcastle.

Danny Perez and Santiago Henry both homered for Atlantic City in the sixth, sparking the offensive flurry. Surf pitcher Andy High got the win pitching six innings, giving up two runs on six hits and struck out six.

DaRond Stovall went 3-4 for Somerset with a double and three RBI`s. The Surf`s Keith Gordon went 2-5 with a home run and three RBI`s.

The win was the Surf`s fourth in a row. They play Somerset for the second game of the series Monday, 7:05, at The Sandcastle.
