CAMDEN SNEAKS UP ON SURF, WINS IN NINTH The Camden Riversharks (18-25) defeated the Atlantic City Surf (23-20) 6-5 Tuesday at the Sandcastle.

The Riversharks jumped on Surf ace Andy High early, as he was ousted after four innings pitched and a pair of two-run home runs by Guillermo Garcia and former Phillie Kim Batiste.

Surf third baseman Alex Llanos, who entered the game in the sixth inning after George West was tossed arguing strikes, hit what appeared to be a game winning RBI single in the eighth inning.

With two men on and two out, Surf reliever Randi Mallard (3-2) let up a two-run double to Camden`s Dwight Maness. Camden hurler Ryan Shurman (3-3) got Gordon to ground into a double play to end the game.

The Surf still hold a 4-3 edge in the season long "Expressway Series" against Camden. Newly acquired Surf pitcher Tom Taylor (0-0) will take to the mound against Silvio Cinsale (0-1) Wednesday at the Sandcastle at 7:05 PM.
