Surf Outlast Somerset 7-4 Atlantic City -- Atlantic City starter Sam Ali pitched a solid game to help the Surf to a 7-4 victory over the Somerset Patriots Saturday night at The Sandcastle.

Ali gave up two runs, scattering nine hits and striking out seven for the win. Atlantic City survived a four-run ninth inning from Somerset to preserve the win.

Surf firstbaseman Jose Velazquez went 2-3 with a grand slam and five RBI`s.

Atlantic City and Somerset are now tied for first-place in the Atlantic League South Division.

The teams finish their weekend series tomorrow night at The Sandcastle, 7:05.
