Perez, Ali Lead Surf Over Nashua
NASHUA, N.H. -- Sam Ali won his eighth game and Danny Perez hit two home runs as the Atlantic City Surf (8-5) defeated the Nashua Pride (6-7) 7-3 Friday night in Nashua. Ali (8-2) threw a masterful eight innings, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight Nashua batters. Perez went 3-4 on the day with a double and two solo homers.
Emison Soto added a two-run homer for the Surf. The win, accompanied with Somerset`s 8-4 loss to Long Island Friday night, creates a tie for first place in the South Division between the Patriots and the Surf.
Atlantic City and Nashua continue the rest of their three-game series Saturday night, 7:05 p.m. in Nashua.
