Surf Route Bears

The Surf built a 7-0 lead over the first three innings but the Bears scored five runs in the sixth, knocking out Surf starter Ariel Garcia.
After the game the Surf anounced that left-handed starter Andy High signed a contract with the AA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, the Huntsville Stars. High will report immediately to the Stars.
High led the Atlantic League in victories with nine. Atlantic City answered Newark`s five-run outburst in the seventh as Dockery hit a grand slam home run off Newark reliever Frank Thompson.
Dockery now has 39 RBI and nine home runs for the Surf. The victory gave Atlantic City a game and a half lead over the Somerset Patriots, who will play the Bridgeport Bluefish Wednesday night at Commerce Bank Ballpark.
Garcia 6-3, got the victory for Atlantic City.
The Surf are 10-7 in the second half of the season. The Surf will conclude the series against the Newark Bears on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WUSS 1490 and WGYM 1580 with Chuck Betson handling the play by play.
After the game the Surf will return home for a big three-game series against the Long Island Ducks beginning Friday night at 7:05 p.m. A post-game fireworks sow will follow the game sponsored by the Trump Hotel Casino Resorts.
