(Portland)- Four Portland pitchers combined to hold the Thunder bats to two runs and six hits in a 5-2 Sea Dogs win Thursday night in Portland. Trenton has lost 7 of their last 8 games.

The Sea Dogs (57-52) got a 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning against Trenton`s Derrin Ebert on an RBI triple by Heath Honeycutt. They made 4-0 in the 3rd Inning on a 3-run homer by Abraham Nunez.

Trenton (55-54) got solo runs in the 6th and 8th Innings. Jerry Salzano had a RBI single to score the first run. Angel Santos smacked his 10th homer for the latter.

Josh Beckett (4-1) got the victory by allowing one run in 5 1/3 innings. He fanned eight batters. Blaine Neal worked a scoreless 9th Inning for his 18th save.

Derrin Ebert (6-5) took the loss, He allowed five runs in 6 2/3 innings on 9 hits.

The two teams meet again on Friday at 7:00 PM. Greg Montalbano (1-1) starts for the Thunder against Portland`s Hansel Izquierdo (2-2).
