SURF WOES CONTINUE

ATLANTIC CITY – Newark`s Billy Ashley and Hensley Meulens both homered twice as the Bears beat the Atlantic City Surf 7-3 Tuesday afternoon at The Sandcastle.

The Surf have now lost 16 of their last 18 games. Surf shortstop Jose Olmeda went 2-4 with two RBI`s. Jaime Navarro got the win, going eight innings and giving up three runs on 10 hits with 12 strikeouts.

Sam Ali got the loss for Atlantic City. The Surf begin a four-game series with Lehigh Valley beginning Wednesday night at 7:05.
