Teen Hit in Police Accident A Trenton police officer was rushing to the scene of an emergency Tuesday night when another car turned into his path, collided, and in one out-of-control instant, a teenage pedestrian was hit. 16-year-old Hassan Peters was sent to the Capital Health System Fuld Campus where he was listed in stable condition.

It happened at 5:15pm Tuesday at Calhoun Street and Fairway Drive. Trenton Police Sgt. Jim Slack was responding to an officer assist call. Police say witnesses to the accident told them that the cruiser attempted to go around the stopped traffic when it collided with a vehicle making a left into the 25 North Housing Complex. Police say one witness said Sgt. Slack's lights were flashing and his air horn and siren were sounded.

16-year-old Hassan Peters – who lives in the 25 North Complex – was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was standing on the sidewalk with a group of friends when he was hit.
