Child Abduction in Camden? Right now, police are treating reports that a child has been abducted seriously. However, they're not sure there actually has been an abduction.

About 7:15 Wednesday evening, Camden police heard from a witness who said he saw a young girl, perhaps 8-10 years old, taken from a bicycle abducted by a man. It happened at the Ferry Avenue Station of the high speed line. They have been searching since 7:15. So far they've found nothing.

There have been no reports of missing persons but police are not taking any chances. It was the high speed line from which Christine Eberle, 27-year-old woman, was abducted, raped and murdered back in November of 2001. Police aren't taking any chances and are conducting a search and are talking with that witness, trying to pin down his story.
