Attr: NJ Korean War Memorial New Jersey Korean War Veterans Memorial, like the Vietnam Veterans Memorial before it, will help to heal the spiritual and psychological wounds suffered by the Korean War veterans, their families and friends. Part of the healing process is to understand America’s involvement in that struggle, what it accomplished, and the contribution of our men and women who served. The New Jersey Korean War Veterans Memorial is dedicated to ensuring that future generations remember their proud and dedicated service; the legacy they continued; and the freedom they preserved.

The New Jersey Korean War Memorial was dedicated in July of 2000 at Brighton Park, Atlantic City – where Park Place meets the Boardwalk, next to Bally’s.

The site consists of a 12-foot-high statue of "The Mourning Soldier" clutching dogtags and remembering his lost comrades. A group of soldiers "under fire" emerge through a sheet of water just to his left. The back wall of the Memorial, beneath an eternal flame, is engraved with the names of the 822 New Jerseyans who were killed in action or are missing in action.

Interactive electronic kiosks have been implemented to allow visitors to learn more about the Korean War at the Memorial. The lower plaza of the memorial is located at Park Place street level, below the Boardwalk.
